Latest News:

Wohooo! My website is back online! After a few weeks worth of down-time, this website is finally back up - so apologies to anyone who came to visit while it was down. Jon and I have been having a few issues with changing our hosting, but I do believe that it should all be sorted out now... except for one small thing: the ells@ells.biz email is not currently working! If you'd like to get in touch, please email eponting @ gmail.com. Sorry for the inconvienience!

I was hoping to change the site around while it was still down, but unfortunately time and other priorities got in the way a little. I'm sure you'd all rather hear some new recordings than have a shiny new website to look at, so I decided to concentrate on the important stuff... More news on that coming soon.

For up to the minute updates, you can  follow me on Facebook and/or Twitter, if you like.

About Ells:

Ells is a singer, songwriter and acoustic musician based in Cricklade, Wiltshire. She has played in many local venues in the North Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire area, and has supported bands and singers such as Corky and The Porn Issue. She has played at festivals such asTreeFest at Westonbirt Arboretum, Malmesbury's Party in the Park and Tetbury Fiesta. Live, Ells plays a mix of original songs and covers ranging from an acoustic version of Linkin Park's Crawling to the soft mellowness of Anywhere by Beth Orton.

Ellie's musical style is a blend of acoustic guitar, piano and vocal harmonies. She has been described as "a dark horse with the voice of an angel", and sings simple melodies that are both soothing and catchy at the same time. Lyrically, she touches on all manner of subjects from religion to the joy of taking off and disappearing for a day.

In her other role as co-founder of The 4014 Project, Ells helps organise Open Mic nights and music events to encourage other local musicians to play, perform and create. Check out The 4014 Project Website for more details of up coming events, music and news.
